A Playa Named Gus

An Apple-first Jellyfin client for streaming your personal media library on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Apple Vision Pro, and Mac.

A Playa Named Gus G play mark

Built around Apple system experiences.

Gus connects to a Jellyfin server you provide, then uses native Apple frameworks for browsing, playback, downloads, accessibility, and platform navigation.

Connect to your server

Sign in to your own Jellyfin server, browse libraries, search media, and open item details from an Apple-native SwiftUI interface.

System playback

Video playback is built on AVKit with system controls. Audio uses Now Playing and AirPlay where the platform supports them.

Downloads where supported

iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro can save compatible media from your server for local playback. Apple TV streams only.

Apple TV streaming

The tvOS experience follows Apple TV focus, remote, and playback conventions for living-room use.

visionOS Cinema

Apple Vision Pro support includes a native app experience and a Gus Cinema path for immersive playback scenarios.

Privacy by design

The app does not operate a developer backend and does not collect analytics, tracking data, server URLs, media metadata, or credentials for the developer.

Release status.

A Playa Named Gus is in active development on the path to App Store submission. Final App Store screenshots and public download links will be added when release validation is complete.
